Self Portrait & Portraits part 2

1. If you're taking photos in a studio, use a mannequin for light testing: Much earlier than guesstimating!

2. Get closer.

3. Use the self-timer.

Environmental portrait
I like this photo because it shows the background of where he's at. I think it's a great photo. I chose this photo because I think it shows a lot in this photo and it looks great how it shows the mountains and how high he is.

I like this photo because it shows the woman putting frosting on the cake. I chose this photo because it shows feeling, she seems happy making a cake.

Photography self portrait
I like this photo because its a picture of a guy holding a picture frame of another guys hand holding a picture frame and another and then theirs a mirror to where you can only see his face. I chose this photo because it very interesting to look at.

I like this photo because its cool how she has a picture of someone else and putting it as if it was her face. I chose this photo because it looks pretty cool how it looks like it could be her face.

Casual portrait
I like this photo because she it shows feelings. I chose this photo because I think its just a great photo.

I like this photo because she's smiling like if someone just got her in a good mood. I chose this photo because she seems happy and it's a great photo.

I am not sure who I'm going to shoot yet, I want to shoot somewhere outside because I think every photo that is taken outside looks great and it shows more to the picture if your outside and to make the shot successful, I will make sure the weather isn't bad like raining or too windy or cold.

Fashion

1.) They mad her neck longer and skinnier. They also made her eyes and mouth bigger and they messed with her hair.

2.) No because its not the real beauty in a person its basically just fake.

3.) Yes because you can't just edit an event you way the wanted it to be, its just not right.

4.) Probably just the part about messing with her hair.

5.) Fashion photography shows fake because they edit and photoshop and photojournalism shows real without editing and other stuff like that.

6.) What they all have in common is that the fact that they represent something in the photo.

Lytro warm- up

1.) You had options to blurr out the background on the photo and move the things inside the photo around.

2.) It lets you mess with the settings and create sort of a video photo, which is cool.

3.) You would need to know how to work the manuel settings and know the basic rules of photojournalism.

4.) I think it's worth the money so you can have memories.

American Soldier slide show and captions

A.) The strongest picture is #6 because it shows the whole family and him hugging his brothers or friends before he leaves.

B.)
Set #1) #1 - #7
Set #2) #8 - #22
Set #3) #23 - #70
Set #4) #71 - #83

My opinion is Set #3 because it shows how iraq was.

c.) They are like a timeline from beginning to end from his story.

3.)
A.) Image #26 Ian falls victim to yet another harmless prank by his bunk mates who couldn't resist this golden opportunity as Ian continues to always set himself up for their shenanigans.

B.) The captions enhance the pictures because they describe what is happening during the picture and a little before.

4.)
A.)

5.)
A.) They make it clear on what the photo is

B.) The videos show more details and make us understand the situation better than pictures would.

C. ) Photos take up less time and explain what's happening by the caption and videos takes up more time since it has people talking.
